The Claymount CA30-type “beer bottle” connector</br>
Features</br>
• High contact reliability, due to plated contacts</br>
• High contact pressure</br>
• Highly flexible 75kV cable with 95% shielding coverage</br>
• Up to 120˚C rated contact temperature</br>
• Low Partial Discharge level at rated voltage</br>
• High X-ray absorption, due to stainless steel ring flange
and hardware</br>
Description</br>
The connector has a ring flange and ring nut made from stainless
steel, giving it a high X-ray absorption. The insulation is made
from a high voltage epoxy potting compound with excellent electrical and mechanical properties. The contacts are highly durable due to the right balanced spring action and plating, guaranteeing a low electrical junction resistance.</br>
The CA30 is supposed to be installed in air (without silicone grease
or paste) and is rated up to 60 kVDC having a low partial discharge
level (< 5pC).</br>
