Claymount CA9-type cable assemblies are terminated with 3-pins
75 kVDC rated high voltage rubber cable plugs that are type tested
under the severest life (aging) conditions. The plugs are made
from high insulation EP rubber. The metal parts are made from
brass for excellent conduction.

Installation
When installing the plug into the receptacle, silicone grease must
be used to exclude air between the plug and the receptacle, to
prevent creepage along the plug/receptacle interface. The cable
flange is secured to the receptacle with 4 bolts. A long lasting
HV-proof installation requires enough compression of the plug;
4-5 mm of compression is recommended.
